San Francisco Freedom Seder
Wednesday, April 27, 2011
6:30 - 8:30 pm
Jewish Community Center
3200 California Street, San Francisco
This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the bravery and passion of the civil rights activists who challenged Southern segregation by riding interstate buses and defying the unjust Jim Crow laws invalidated by the Supreme Court. Join us for a kosher Seder filled with old and new friends, celebrating the brave and passionate Freedom Riders.
Starting out as part of The Isaiah Project, an African-American and Jewish alliance for social justice and collaboration, the Passover Freedom Seder, now in its 15th year, continues to bring together persons of multiple ethnic and religious backgrounds to honor a common historical and continuing struggle for freedom and justice.
Tickets are $35 for JCCSF Members and $40 for the public. Click here to purchase a ticket or call 415.977.749.
