[Op-Ed] Renditions of ‘Go Down Moses‘ at Passover Seders often problematically compare cultural memory and mythos of the Jewish people to the historical and contemporary trauma of Black people, ignoring that Negro spirituals cloaked in biblical allusion were a tradition of necessity.
