POSITION SUMMARY

Jewish Currents is seeking a full-time Director of Community Engagement. Interested individuals should send a cover letter and resume to hires@jewishcurrents.org. The application deadline is Monday, December 18th, with an estimated start date between January 1st and February 1st, 2024.

The Director of Community Engagement will help launch and lead Jewish Currents’ new initiative to build community through programming in person in cities around the country and online. These programs can and will include workshops, seminars, lectures, classes, parties, artist talks, reading groups, and others. The aim of the initiative is to bring together readers and supporters around the country to gather, learn, and connect.

This position is strongly preferred to be based in New York City, and will consist of frequent travel as well as remote work. Jewish Currents plans to move to an office in 2024, at which time NYC-based staff will be encouraged to come in 3 days per week.
