Camp Be’chol Lashon Staff
Raffi is about to graduate from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island with a double major in marine biology and Chinese. They’ve been a part of the Be’chol Lashon community since right after it started and were a camper for several years. (They’re also known as being Amalya’s big sister). Their interests include sailing, talking about books, travel, baking, and art.
Maia Campbell is a third year MIT undergraduate student in Brain and Cognitive Sciences. She is passionate about anti-racist activism in context to redlining and voter suppression, medical mistrust in communities of color, and language policing in academia. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, urban adventurer, and musical theater enthusiast.
Aviva Davis (she/they) is a rising senior at Brandeis University, studying Psychology and Creativity, the Arts, and Social Transformation. She has been close with the Be’chol Lashon community for as long as she can remember and was one of the first CBL campers. She loves to perform, learn, teach, and travel.
Intern, Be'chol Lashon
Naomi is a student at the University of San Francisco. She double majors in Pre-Law and International Studies and minors in African studies. Naomi has been an intern at Be’chol Lashon since February. Her interests include making music, doing hair, painting, and spending time with family.
Jeremy Johnson was born and raised in San Francisco and this is his third year as CBL staff. He graduated from Drew High School in San Francisco and is currently a student at City College in San Francisco. He enjoys playing basketball, drawing, photography, and putting pineapple on pizza.
Sophie Kim was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A student at Scripps College, she is planning to study sociology and dance.
Veteran camper Claude and his sister Ella are traveling to camp from Cleveland. He is excited to come back to camp to reconnect with his friends, who are part of his Jews of Color support network.
Program Coordinator / Diversity Trainer, Be'chol Lashon
Shekhiynah Larks is the program coordinator and a diversity trainer at Be’chol Lashon. She holds a BA in politics from the University of San Francisco. She is a native of Oakland and is very involved in Jewish life in the Bay Area.

Jacob has been attending Camp Be’chol Lashon since he was 8 years old. A gifted wildlife specialist, he is now the resident naturalist. His interests include sword fighting and hand to hand combat training. Last year Jacob competed in MMA competitions in Thailand.
Satya was born in San Francisco but was raised primarily in Brooklyn. She has been involved with Be’chol Lashon for almost 10 years as a camper, CIT and counselor. She enjoys painting, dancing and reading in her free time and is excited about spending her summer with the CBL community before starting her first year of college.
Jonah is a student at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz majoring in communications. He has participated in the Be’chol Lashon community since it’s inception and has been a Camp Be’chol Lashon counselor for the last few summers. His Interests include soccer, basketball, fashion, and travel.
