Ana Bass considers herself Jewtina. She was adopted at 4 months from Guatemala by American Jewish parents with Ashkenazi background. She had the opportunity to work as an arts specialist with Be’chol Lashon’s summer camp back in 2019. She thinks of that summer fondly. For work she is a fitness instructor because she appreciates personal health and wellness. In her free time, she is a cartoonist who uses colored pencils.
I started the series Rosalita and Eduardo during the pandemic. I’ve always wanted to create a comic book memoir about the experiences I’ve had as a transracial adoptee from Guatemala who was raised by two Jewish American parents with Ashkenazi backgrounds.
