Jaime Permuth is a Guatemalan photographer, long-time New Yorker and currently based in Seoul, Korea.
He is the author of two monographs “The Street Becomes”, published by Meteoro Editions, Amsterdam 2021 and “YONKEROS”, La Fabrica Editorial, Madrid, 2013. Most recently, Permuth is a Smithsonian Institution Artist Fellow, a 2020 Adobe Creative Residence Community Fund recipient and a Winner of the 2020 Urbanautica Institute Awards. His work has been exhibited widely in the United States and abroad, including The Museum of Modern Art, The Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio, The Jewish Museum and The Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York City. He is a Faculty Member at the School of Visual Arts where he teaches in the Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography program.
