Julius Lester is an award winning author of 43 books and over 200 articles including pieces in the New York Times and the Village Voice. An accomplished artist, he has produced several albums and is well known for his photography as well. A graduate of Fisk College he taught at University of Massachusetts where he was recognized as an outstanding teacher.
