Rachel Sophia Kruge is a culinary expert and freelance marketer currently working for The Clio Awards, an award show that celebrates innovation and creativity in the advertisement industry. Her mother, an Indian-Jewish artist from Mumbai, immigrated to America in 1986. Raised in Montclair, New Jersey, Rachel was surrounded by a mix of Indian, Jewish, and American family traditions growing up, which would become the roots of her passion for food, culture, and transculturalism. Rachel received her BBA in Marketing and Advertising from Pace University in 2016 and a Culinary Arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education in 2021 with a concentration in health-supportive studies. Before Clio, Rachel worked in roles at The Food Network, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and Zenith Media. Today, she continues to grow her experience as a chef and influencer in the culinary space. Looking to explore her cultural roots, Rachel plans to travel to Israel in 2022, where she will document the cuisine and traditions of the Bene-Israel, a community of jews traditionally from India.
