Share Your Story
Do you have a personal story to tell? An opinion to share about racial and ethnic diversity in the Jewish community? A Jewish memory or family recipe you think others will enjoy? Is there a family member or community leader you want to interview? What about art or music to share? Do the intersections of your identity present challenges and opportunities? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we invite you to contribute to our online publication, Jewish&.
Jewish& began in 2013 as a blog on the My Jewish Learning website. It is now an independent online publication of Be’chol Lashon, and we pay all writers for their work. Rates will be discussed upon acceptance.
How to Pitch
We know that not everyone with a great idea is ready to publish a piece. Let us know where you are in the process by email.
- Do you have a clear idea for a piece or have you already written it? Send us a short pitch (100 words maximum), describing what the piece is about. If you are a published writer, include links to a few of your best pieces.
- Do you want to be interviewed? Tell us about yourself (100 words maximum).
- Do you want help from members of our team in crafting a piece? Tell us about yourself and what you want to write about (250 words maximum).
While we hope to work with a wide range of contributors, we regret that we will not be able to accept all of the pitches that are submitted for our consideration.
