Act Now: Repair the World

See you at 7pm on Tuesday, September 26th for A Different Kind of Service. If you have any questions about accessibility or anything else, please share them with sam.sittenfield@werepair.org Feeling the High Holiday spirit? Bring a pair or pack of socks to donate to our partners at Building Futures!

DESCRIPTION

Repair the World and JCC East Bay are coming together for a kickoff event of learning and volunteering infused with Jewish values. Join fellow young adults from Oakland and Berkeley to engage in conversations that build new connections and serve immediate community needs during the High Holiday season.

We’ll support Building Futures by preparing their fall mailing that shares information about their clients successes with stakeholders. This critical community organization buildscommunities with underserved women and children, where they are safely and supportively housed, free from homelessness and domestic violence.

Light snacks and drinks will be served.

Repair the World was founded in 2009 to make meaningful service a defining element of American Jewish life and is excited to pilot programs in the East Bay. Repair mobilizes tens of thousands of young Jews each year to tackle pressing local needs and to help transform neighborhoods, cities, and lives through service experiences rooted in Jewish values, learning, and history.
