Details

Join us for a special Ethiopian Kabbalat Shabbat service with music, prayer and storytelling. In honor of Sigd, the Ethiopian Jewish holiday celebrated as a national holiday in Israel, we are bringing together Ethiopian Jews to share their traditions and engage us all. Featuring Prof. Ephraim Isaac, Sigdiyada festival founder Shai Ferdu, Rudy Bainesay from “The Voice Israel,” and Be’chol Lashon’s Beza Abebe.

The service will be pre-recorded to accommodate participants in Israel. The video will be available to watch on Be’chol Lashon’s Facebook page.

Registration is free, takes less than a minute, and helps us plan this and future events. Registrants will receive a confirmation email as well as an email reminder 1 hour before the event starts.

Follow along during the service with this siddur.
