As we celebrate Black History Month in the United States this February, ADL was honored to welcome Marcella White Campbell, Executive Director of Be’chol Lashon (Hebrew for “in every language”), an organization dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity by raising awareness about the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity of Jewish people and experience around the globe.

Campbell and ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt discussed the urgent need to confront America’s entrenched racism and persistent antisemitism, and how the intersecting Black and Jewish communities can strengthen their fight against hate that has plagued both these communities for centuries. The two also explored how to move the historic Jewish commitment to racial justice forward into the 21st century while centering Jews of Color, specifically Black Jews.
