Meet Me At Sinai Day Of Learning

In 1990, Dr. Judith Plaskow’s Standing Again at Sinai-the first book to candidly discuss Jewish feminist theology-shook the foundations of Jewish expression. Twenty-five years later, Sinai has not only given voice to women’s roles in Judaism, but also set a framework for all those seeking a unique, progressive form of representation within Judaism.
On February 8, 2015, BJ is proud to host a full day of panel discussions, films, dance and more dedicated to the effects of Dr. Plaskow’s book on modern Jewry. With renowned Jewish educators, spiritual leaders, journalists, thought leaders and performing artists, we will explore how its principals have enriched and challenged Jewish life, celebrate the progress we’ve made, and speak openly about where we can go from here.
